Some common questions we get asked…

Who will conduct my interview coaching?

Your coaching will be conducted by one of our experienced interview coaches. All of our coaches have years of experience interviewing and hiring graduates. Once you have scheduled your coaching sessions, we will allocate a coach most relevant to the industries and roles you are interested in applying for.

Which package is best for me?

We offer three different coaching packages of varying intensity and length. Call us on 0203 287 4822 and we can talk to you about which package would be most suitable for you depending on your existing level of interviewing experience, the roles you are applying for and how much coaching you require.

What if I decide to upgrade to a more intensive package?

If you have taken either the Essentials or Extended packages and wish to upgrade to a more intensive package, email and we will arrange this with your interview coach.

Why is a large focus of the coaching on competency based interviewing?

Competency based interviews are the most commonly used interview method used to judge an applicant’s suitability to a role and company and is therefore used by the vast majority of graduate employers today as part of their recruitment processes.

Why do I need to upload my CV?

You are requested to upload your CV during the interview coaching booking. This is to provide your interview coach with an overview of your academic and professional experience and help them to tailor your coaching accordingly by focusing on the relevant competencies and questions.

How do I prepare for my interview coaching?

A detailed preparation document is emailed to you when you confirm your interview booking. This contains all of the information you need to ensure you get the most out of your coaching sessions. It is important to research the industries and roles you are interested in and find out which competencies are most relevant. These are likely to be the competencies your interviewer selects for your interview coaching.

Can I reschedule my interview coaching sessions?

You can reschedule your interview coaching up to 48 hours before your scheduled interview time by emailing We’ll do our best to reschedule to a more convenient time for you. We do not accept cancellations.

What equipment do I need to take an online coaching session?

You will need a computer with a good Internet connection, a microphone and a webcam. The interview will be conducted on Skype. Further details will be provided once you have purchased a coaching package. If you haven’t got Skype, you can download Skype and sign up for free here.

What if I don’t have a webcam or my video connection doesn’t work?

You will not get the full benefits of the coaching without a video conversation. For this reason we insist that you have a webcam to start your coaching. If you do not have a webcam, we recommend you borrow a friend’s computer for the coaching session.

What kind of feedback do I receive during/after my coaching session?

The amount of feedback you receive will depend on which coaching package you select. All of our packages will give you at least one round of verbal feedback from your coach during the interview and a written feedback evaluation (see example here) after your coaching session has finished. These will highlight key areas for improvement and actions to take before your real interviews.

What if I am late for my coaching session?

Your interview coach will be available on Skype for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled time of your interview. However, treat this as a real interview and do not be late. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you risk your coaching session being cut short.

Will I have a chance to provide Interview Bull with feedback on my coaching?

Absolutely, your feedback is extremely valuable to us. We will ask you to fill in a short feedback survey after your coaching session and would appreciate a few minutes of your time to ensure we keep improving our services.
